September 30th marks the one year anniversary that the doors of film and animation were opened here on the site and we now have 1731 deviants with film submission privileges!

To mark this special day, Skins & Themes will be holding a little contest with some seriously cool prizes. The contest I have planned is simple....... skin a media player. Couldn't be more simple huh? Well, read on

The Contest

Yeah yeah, celebrating past and present movies is all fine and dandy but I wanted something different. I wanted to celebrate the future of movies while still remembering their past. So your mission is an easy one. Select a movie from the list I have compiled of upcoming and future movies that are in production and create a skin for ANY media player of your choice. Still sounds simple huh?

The movies you have to chose from are as follows:

Short Circuit 3

Transformers 2

Alien VS Predator 3

Ghostbusters 3

The First Avenger: Captain America

Max Payne

Terminator Salvation

Friday the 13th

G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra

Iron Man 2

Jurrasic Park 4

OR you can choose from three of these classics:

Batman

Robocop

Star Wars


Now come on, those movies are sure to make someone wee a little. I sure as hell can't wait to see them

DO'S

All skins are to be posted in the usual gallery of the media player like normal, but you must note me `mrrste with a thumb or link to your entry.

Please specify which movie you are basing your skin on.

You can enter as many times as you wish.

Adhere to the guidelines, policies, and ethics of deviantART as a whole, and of the Customisation Gallery as a subsidiary.

DONT'S

Not tell me you have created a skin and posted it for the contest. That would be kind dumb

Choose a movie not on the list.

DO NOT use any of the movies promo pictures or any movie stills in your previews. Steven Speilberg might hunt me down and kick my ass.

The Deadline

Contest closes on the 21st October 2008.

FIRST PLACE WINNER: 1 Year subs + deviantART T-shirt of their choice (or $25.00 dev dollars)

SECOND PLACE: 6 month subs + dA button pack

THIRD PLACE: 3 month sub + dA keychain
